What It Is
Efficient skin tightening with PDO thread lift
A PDO thread lift uses absorbable polydioxanone (PDO) threads placed beneath the skin to provide support and create a subtle lifting or tightening effect in selected areas of the face or neck.
As the tissue responds to the treatment, the threads may also support collagen production around the treated area.
PDO threads are not meant to recreate the results of a surgical facelift. The goal is to create a refreshed, natural-looking improvement based on your individual anatomy and treatment plan.

Why clients choose PDO thread lift
Subtle Lifting & Support
PDO threads can help reposition and support select areas of the face for a more refreshed appearance without traditional facelift surgery.
Personalized Treatment Planning
There is no standard thread lift that works for everyone. Your treatment plan is based on your facial structure, skin quality, concerns, medical history, and desired outcome.
The Process
Understanding PDO thread lift treatment
At Soft Life, we don't recommend treatments simply because they're trending.

Your appointment begins with an assessment of your facial anatomy, skin quality, areas of concern, medical history, and aesthetic goals.
Linda will determine whether PDO threads are appropriate for you and discuss what the treatment can realistically accomplish.

In some cases, another treatment or combination of treatments may better fit your goals.

The goal is never to do more just because we can. The goal is to create a plan that makes sense for you.

Before & After Your Appointment
Pre and post care tips
Before Treatment
Please tell your provider about all medications and supplements you take. Do not stop prescribed medication unless directed by the prescribing clinician.
Your provider will review your medical history and give you individualized preparation instructions based on your treatment plan.
It is also important to let us know about previous aesthetic treatments, allergies, medical conditions, recent procedures, or other information that could affect your treatment.
After Treatment
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness, or temporary irregularity around the treated area may occur during the early healing period.
Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions based on your treatment.
You may be advised to temporarily avoid certain activities, including strenuous exercise, facial massage, rubbing or placing unnecessary pressure on the treated area.
Always follow the aftercare instructions provided by your clinician and contact the office if you experience symptoms that concern you.

QUESTIONS
PDO thread lift, answered
How long does a PDO thread lift appointment take?
Appointment length varies depending on the areas being treated and the complexity of your individual treatment plan. Your provider will discuss what to expect before treatment begins.
Will I see a difference immediately?
Some clients may notice a lifting or repositioning effect soon after treatment. However, swelling and the normal healing process can affect how the area looks initially.
Your final outcome should be evaluated as the treated area heals.
How long do PDO thread lift results last?
PDO thread lift results are temporary, and longevity varies from person to person.
Factors such as the treatment area, thread type, skin quality, individual healing response, lifestyle, and treatment plan can influence how your results change over time.
Rather than scheduling treatment based on a predetermined timeline, Linda can reassess your results and recommend future treatment when appropriate.
Is there downtime after PDO threads?
PDO threads are minimally invasive, but that does not mean there is no recovery period.
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness, and temporary changes around the treatment area may occur. Your recovery experience and activity restrictions will depend on your individual treatment.
Your provider will explain what to expect and give you specific aftercare instructions.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Tell your provider about all medications, supplements, allergies, health conditions, and previous aesthetic treatments.
Do not stop prescribed medication unless directed by the prescribing clinician.
Additional preparation instructions will be provided based on your health history and treatment plan.
Is everyone a candidate for PDO threads?
No. PDO threads are not appropriate for every person or every aesthetic concern.
Candidacy depends on factors including your health history, medications, skin quality, facial anatomy, previous treatments, and desired outcome.
A consultation allows Linda to determine whether PDO threads are an appropriate option for you or whether another treatment may better address your concerns.
Are there risks with PDO threads?
As with any aesthetic procedure, PDO thread treatment has potential risks and side effects.
These can include swelling, bruising, discomfort, infection, visible or palpable threads, irregularity, asymmetry, or an outcome that differs from what was expected.
Your provider will review the potential benefits, limitations, risks, and alternatives with you before treatment so you can make an informed decision.
